This Fast Software Encryption Workshop, FSE 2001, was held from 2-4 April 2001 in Yokohama, Japan, in cooperation with the Institute of Industrial Science, of the University of Tokyo. This year a total of 46 papers were submitted to FSE 2001. After a t- month review process, 27 papers were accepted for presentation at the workshop. In addition, we were fortunate to be able to organize a special talk by Bart Preneel on the NESSIE project, a European initiative to evaluate cryptographic algorithms. The committee of this workshop was: General Chair Hideki Imai (The University of Tokyo) Program Committee Ross Anderson (Cambridge Univ. ) Eli Biham (Technion) Cunsheng Ding (Singapore) Henri Gilbert (France Telecom) Dieter Gollman (Microsoft) Thomas Johansson (Lund Univ. ) Lars Knudsen (Bergen Univ. ) James Massey (Denmark) Mitsuru Matsui (Mitsubishi Electric, Chair) Kaisa Nyberg (Nokia) Bart Preneel (Katholieke Univ. About the Author
Julian Evans is professor of Tropical Forestry at the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London and also holds an Honorary Chair at the University of Wales, Bangor, UK. He was formerly Chief Research Officer of the British Forestry Commission and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Foresters. He is author of over 100 scientific papers and seven technical books on temperate and tropical forestry. Julian is a vice-chair of the Commonwealth Forestry Association and Country Vice-President for UK of the International Society of Tropical Foresters (IUSF).

I will not say too much. I think it will be enough to quote from Ayn Rand's "The Voice of Reason; Essays in Objectivist Thought". The book written and the class taught by Glen Rodgers is "perceptual level history, history as nothing but a torrent of unrelated, disintegrated concretes."

RUDIGER SAFRANSKI is a distinguished philosopher and writer whose works have received numerous awards and have been translated into nineteen languages. He lives in Germany.

About the Author

Not what I expected! Teaching through story telling

This is a great read for entrepreneurs. Kiyosaki's stories of military school are interesting & his comparisons to traditional education are insightful. I didn't realize how many bad habits I needed to unlearn! From the table of contents the 8 Lessons are:

8 Military Lessons that translate into Business

Another GREAT book and read from Mr. Kiyosaki. A wonderful book that teaches us to be successful is more about discipline, routine, following a code of honor, building relationships and about serving. My biggest takeaway is that to be successful or failing may have more to do about not knowing what we don't know vs. what we know. This is a simple read with deep insights. I highly recommend it, especially for anyone thinking about going to college, while not knowing what you want to do.
